Arnolds Park, Iowa – A Slice of Paradise in Iowa

A Slice of Paradise

If you haven’t been up or down to the Iowa Great Lakes – you need to put that on your bucket list. There is plenty to do with activities, food, and places to stay – and as I say on my blog and other channels – I like to share where to “Go, Stay, and Play in the Midwest” and Arnolds Park fits the bill. This time I check the area out in the summer, but don’t forget the Iowa Winter Games! Plenty to do here in the winter months as well.

It offers a one-of-a-kind experience with its amusement park and having the lake next door takes the whole experience to another level – it’s like one visitor said to me, “It’s like going to the Jersey shore – only with a Midwest vibe”.

I made a short video on my experience at Arnolds Park (which I often call Okoboji and was quickly corrected – I think that Lake Okoboji is often referred – so easy mistake). My experience takes you shopping in some local shops, a lunch experience at “Bob’s” for a legendary “Bob Dog” and concluding with a trip down memory lane on the boardwalk, amusement park, and a quick ride aboard the Queen II. It’s easy to see why some people call the area “A Slice of Paradise” in the corner of Iowa.
