Welcome! – Meet Dan and Tami Cline – the influencers behind both Midwest Small Town AND Midwest Ghost Town. They have a passion for shining a light on small town U.S.A. – on where to Go, Stay, and Play, while sharing the stories of those who live there- through blogs, videos, and podcasts. – Dan has a passion for all things history and hosts a side channel and podcast (Midwest Ghost Town) where he dives deep into heritage tourism. Tami – loves family travel, rural adventure – and the local food scene! But one thing is for sure – they BOTH love the small towns!

In short – it’s tourism the revolves around our heritage – Think “Family Tree” type stuff. History plays a large role in this – and Dan likes to dive deep (whether it’s around cemeteries, museums, or more). 3. How do we get you to come highlight our town?

First – we love small towns and showcase it for the shear love of it – However, we can prioritize coming to your community – and value good old fashioned conversations. Maybe you have an idea, project, or simply want to network with us.

4. Do you only work with rural destinations – and is it only within the Midwest?

A quick answer to this is we work with communities 50,000 population or less. We know the term “rural” is broad – but this works within the scope of National Economic Development. – as far as Midwest is concerned -we primarily focus on the Midwest ONLY because this is where we are from – we reside in the tri/quad area of Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota and Nebraska – but go far and in between when it comes to small towns! One of our favorite small town stops was in South Carolina! So – we travel, love to talk and experience small town travel! However – we feel it’s the STORY that is most important – and hope to experience and share YOUR story – whether you are population 50,000 or 1.
